The 50 -year-old entrepreneur and his company have made out various full-page ads in newspapers across the country in honor of George, whose slaying precipitated nationwide protests against systemic combating racism and police brutality.
The ad has been exposed on Roc Nation’s social media canals, and includes a passageway from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1965 Selma address.
” Only space we were able to achieve discretion is to somehow hunker the concerns of demise. But if a lover has not discovered something that he will die for, he isn’t fit to live. Deep down in our nonviolent creed is the conviction — that there are some things so dear, so things so treasured, so things so eternally true-blue, that they are worth dying for ,” the ad reads.
” A husband dies when he refuses to stand up for that which is right. A humankind dies when he refuses to stand up for justice. A husband dies when he refuses to take a stand for that which is true. So we’re going to stand up amid mares. We’re going to stand up right here, amid the billy-clubs. We’re going to stand up right here amid police pups, if they have them. We’re going to stand up amid tear gas !”
The ad was signed by Jay, 50 Cent and many organizations, as well as the parent education three black followers killed by police: Botham Jean, DJ Henry and Antwon Rose II.
The letter was printed in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune and the Philadelphia Enquirer on Tuesday, with more to come, according to CNN.
